Hello
I am a freelance illustrator living and working in the city of Bristol. As a member of the 'Drawn in Bristol' co-operative, I work from their studios in Hamilton House.
I take comissions from clients, and also sell my own work - under the name BearHands - through shops, craft markets and online. The work sold through BearHands is more graphic in style than my traditional pencil and watercolour illustration, and uses a lot of screen printing and pattern. I would love to use this style for comissioned work as well though, so if you are interested in BearHands, do get in touch.
Most recently I have been working on a book with Oxford University Press, and also illustrating a full sized gorilla sculpture as part of the Wild in Art project arranged by Bristol Zoo; Lloyds Banking Group chose to sponsor my design for this project. I have also spent some time working as an in-house designer for a greetings card company.
To develop my practice as an artist and illustrator, I am currently studying 1 day a week on a Masters Degree in Printmaking at UWE in Bristol. Being part time, it will enable me to keep working throughout.
Please have a browse and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
